7. Real-time webhooks
Good news: there is nothing to set up here. Real-time webhooks are on by default and PLANA Connect wires them up for you automatically the moment your company is connected.
What "real-time" means
The instant an expense is reviewed in Payhawk — or a payment settles — Payhawk notifies PLANA Connect, and a sync for that record kicks off within seconds. You are not waiting on a schedule for your bills and bank movements to land in Odoo; they flow in as the work happens.
You still get a safety net
On top of the instant webhooks, a periodic safety-net sync runs on its own. If a webhook is ever missed — a brief network hiccup, a record that changed while a run was in progress — the next scheduled pass catches it. Nothing gets left behind.
Confirming it's on
You don't need to touch anything, but if you want to check:
- Open your company and go to Settings.
- Find Real-time webhooks in the sync options — it is enabled by default.
You can toggle it off if you ever want to rely purely on the periodic sync, but for almost everyone leaving it on is the right choice.
