BOS
Part of PLANA Pulse
BOS is the AI-first surface of PLANA Pulse — the screen you open to operate the business. It sits above PLANA Business Cloud (the ERP layer where records live). The two come together under one PLANA Pulse subscription. New here? Start with What is PLANA Pulse.
BOS — the Business Operating System — is the day-to-day surface where you run your business through PLANA Pulse. It is the screen you open in the morning, where the morning's alerts wait for you, where you ask one of the AI agents to find an answer, and where you watch what is happening across the company in real time.
Audience
Customers and tenant administrators using BOS day-to-day. This is a user manual, not a developer guide. Engineering documentation about how BOS is implemented lives under Platform → Services → pulse-portal.
How BOS relates to PLANA Business Cloud and PLANA Pulse
BOS, PLANA Pulse, and PLANA Business Cloud are three layers of one product family:
You ─────────▶ BOS ◀──── the interface, where you work
│
▼
PLANA Pulse ◀── the AI-first layer; agents and automations
│
▼
PLANA Business Cloud ◀── your ERP — Accounting, Sales, CRM, Stock…
│
▼
Platform ◀── infrastructure, run by PLANA- PLANA Business Cloud is where the records live: customers, invoices, stock movements, projects, payroll.
- PLANA Pulse is the AI-first layer above the ERP. It watches what is happening, raises alerts, runs agents that can answer questions and take actions on your data.
- BOS is the screen through which you actually use Pulse. It is the conversational, dashboard-driven interface — different in feel from the traditional ERP forms.
You can think of it like this: BOS is the AI front of the house. PLANA Business Cloud is the back office. You use both, often in the same working session.
What you do in BOS
A typical day in BOS:
- Open the Dashboard. See your top KPIs — revenue this month, cash on hand, overdue invoices, low stock — and the alerts that came in overnight.
- Triage alerts. Each alert links back to the underlying record in PLANA Business Cloud, or to a chat with the relevant AI agent for context.
- Talk to an agent. Ask the Finance agent why cash is lower than expected. Ask the Warehouse agent which products will run out next week. Each agent can answer with data from your tenant and, in some cases, take actions back into PLANA Business Cloud.
- Reconcile bank transactions as the day's PSD2 feed comes in.
- Review the execution log at the end of the day — every action an agent took, with timestamps and inputs, for an audit trail.
Read the manual in order
The left sidebar groups the manual by what you need at each stage.
| Section | What's in it |
|---|---|
| Getting started | Logging in, the layout of the screen, your workspace, mobile and tablet behaviour |
| Dashboard | KPIs, cashflow, alerts summary, quick links |
| Chat and agents | Each of the four agents (Finance, Warehouse, Marketing, Sales) — what they know, what they can do, sample dialogues, safety limits |
| Operating views | Alerts, Banking, Billing, Execution log, Integrations |
| Settings | Workspace settings, the team, alert thresholds, API keys |
| Workflows | Task guides — morning check-in, reconciling the bank, investigating a stock-out, reviewing the pipeline, rotating an API key |
| Support | Your dedicated Matrix room, FAQs, known issues |
Some views are still maturing. We mark each one with a status badge so you know what to expect:
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Stable | Feature is complete and used in production |
| Beta | Feature works; some non-essential parts are still wired up |
| Alpha | Feature is partially functional — usable for previewing the experience, not yet for production work |
| Planned | Feature is on the roadmap but not yet shipped |
