Price lists

A price list is a set of rules that determine what price a product has for a given customer, on a given date, in a given currency, with optional volume discounts.

When you want them

  • Different prices per customer segment (retail / wholesale)
  • Currency-specific lists (BGN domestic, EUR export)
  • Promotional pricing for a period
  • Volume discounts (10% off for orders ≥ 100 units)
  • Per-customer negotiated pricing

If you have one price per product across all customers, you don't need price lists — the product's base price is enough.

Creating a price list

Sales → Configuration → Price lists → Create.

FieldWhat
NameCustomer-facing label (e.g. "Wholesale BGN")
CurrencyThe currency this list quotes in
Country group(Optional) auto-apply for customers in these countries
RulesOne or more rules — see below

Rules

Each rule answers: "for this product / category, in this date range, what's the price?".

Rule typeExample
Fixed priceSet this product to BGN 50.00
Percentage10% off the catalogue price
FormulaCatalogue – 5%, rounded up to nearest 0.10
Other price listInherit from another list and apply a margin

Rules can target:

  • A specific product
  • A product category
  • All products
  • Date range (start / end)
  • Minimum quantity

Multiple rules apply in priority order — first match wins.

Assigning to customers

In the customer record → Sales tab → Price list → pick.

When you create a quotation for the customer, lines auto-price from the customer's list.

To override on a specific quote, manually edit the unit price on the line.

Volume discounts

Common rule:

QuantityPrice
1–9Catalogue price
10–99Catalogue – 5%
100+Catalogue – 10%

Configure as three rules on the same product with different Minimum quantity values.

End-customer-visible

Price lists are an internal pricing tool. The customer sees the final unit price on their quote — they don't see the calculation behind it.

If you want to show the catalogue price + discount, configure the quotation template to display "Discount %" on each line.

Date-bounded promotions

For a temporary promotion:

  1. Create a price list "Spring 2026 Promo"
  2. Add rules with Start / End dates
  3. Assign customers (or use a country group)
  4. Outside the date range, the rule doesn't apply — prices revert

PLANA evaluates the date when the quote is created. A quote created within the promo period keeps the promo price even if confirmed afterward.
